Then, the gas travels through kilometres and kilometres of giant pipelines across mountains, rivers and forests before it gets to a pump station. At the pump station, we get the gas ready to travel through more big pipes, and add a stink like rotten eggs or sulphur to it for safety. After that, the gas travels through large pipes to get to your town, then through smaller pipes under streets and yards to get to your house!
